Linking Opportunities to Initiatives

Opportunities can be linked directly to Initiatives.

On the Opportunity Overview page, an Associated Initiative panel indicates if the opportunity has a link to an initiative. When there is an initiative linked to an opportunity, it displays in that panel.

IMPORTANT When an Opportunity is linked directly to an Initiative, that Opportunity cannot also be linked to a Pursuit.

To link the opportunity to an existing initiative:

  1. In the Associated Initiative panel of the Opportunity Overview screen, click the Link icon in the panel. A list of existing initiatives appears.
  2. Select an initiative to link to the opportunity.

  3. Click Save.

To link the opportunity to a new initiative:

  1. In the Associated Initiative panel of the Opportunity Overview screen, click the Add New icon in the panel.
  2. Enter the name and description for the new initiative.

  3. Click Save. The new initiative is saved and linked to the opportunity. The new initiative appears in the Associated Initiative panel.
